My latest and maybe greatest giveaway yet. Its inexpensive, functional and not tied to a failed election bid. I am mailing one of these out to every celebrity that I ask to participate in the Celebridoodle project and offering it up to anyone that sends in a drawing that makes it onto the blog.
Its Red. Which people like.
Its silver. Which is totally classy.
It has my face on it. Which my wife doesn’t seem to mind very much.
Its a great product to throw in drawer somewhere and totally forget about.
In the fall of 2008 society was faced with making the choice between Barack Obama, the first black president, or John McCain, another old white president. I decided to give the people what they wanted, a young, white president.
Based on the classic 1968 Nixon button I decided to take the classic republican appeal of Nixon & cross it with the democratic affection for Brokeback Mountain’s gay sex.
The reaction was immediate and deafening. I received 3 votes, 7 slaps and half of a toblerone. I proceeded to pack up my buttons, leave the old folks home and go watch a movie. If I am not going to be the one changing America then I won’t no part in it.
For me, 25 was the prime of my life. Some prefer 18, others prefer 92 but for me 25 was the pinnacle. 25 was the year I got into shape, acted like a proper teenager and then met my wife.
To celebrate completing the first 1/3rd of my life I got these mugs made and handed them out to friends and family. The image is a great little construction paper cut-out version of my face as created by an old High School Friend.
I gave these out in exchange for the promise of adding to the collection…i only got 3 drawings in return. I decided not to make $7 giveways ever again.
